Where the Name Comes From

A Name Rooted in Trust

FIDE5 takes its name from fide, the Latin word for trust, faith, and confidence. It is also inspired by Fides, the Roman goddess of trust and good faith. The “5” represents the five accounting professionals who came together to found the company.

FIDE5 was founded on a spark of connection and a shared calling.

It began with Lhet, who was then part of the finance and accounting department of a solar energy company. There, she worked alongside four remarkable colleagues (Daisy, Jaem, and Krishia) under the leadership of their manager, Len. What started as collaboration on spreadsheets grew into trust, teamwork, and lasting friendship.

When the company announced the closure of its Philippine operations, the team faced a pivotal moment. Rather than going separate ways, the five accounting professionals chose to transform challenge into opportunity. They envisioned building something greater, something of their own.

Beth reached out to her long-time friend Jade, who also aspired to establish a business. Together with Jade, her partner Jane, Lhet and her colleagues shaped the idea that became FIDE5: a remote accounting agency powered by highly skilled Virtual Professionals specializing in accounting and bookkeeping.

In a virtual assistant market often centered on administrative tasks and social media, FIDE5 set itself apart by focusing on a niche that demands precision, trust, and expertise: accounting.
